FOOD & NUTRITION

Project Rise is committed to addressing malnutrition and promoting food security in all its forms—undernourishment, micronutrient deficiency, and dietary imbalance. Poor nutrition not only affects growth and immunity but also has far-reaching implications for educational outcomes, economic productivity, and climate resilience. We aim to tackle these through targeted nutrition interventions, school meal programmes, food security drives, and emergency feeding efforts.

Building on our community’s long-standing tradition of compassion & most notably Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s global kitchen initiative, Faiz ul Mawaid il Burhaniyah (FMB)—we expand this legacy to support the most vulnerable

We view the act of feeding the hungry as one of the highest expressions of faith and humanity. Our efforts aim not only to alleviate hunger, but to uplift individuals with compassion, dignity, and sustenance to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry, especially in times of hardship.
What We Do
In collaboration with local health and development partners, we deliver millet-based, nutrient-dense meals to malnourished children and pregnant or lactating mothers in underserved regions like Nandurbar. These interventions are designed to address acute malnutrition, strengthen maternal and child health, and ensure that the most vulnerable have access to safe, sufficient, and nutritious food.
Beyond food delivery, our field volunteers and community frontline workers lead training sessions on dietary diversity, optimal infant feeding practices, and maternal nutrition. This empowers families with knowledge to sustain healthy diets and contributes to breaking the intergenerational cycle of malnutrition.
During emergencies such as floods or displacement, our teams swiftly mobilize to provide nutritional aid alongside medical and hygiene services to affected populations.
When supporting schools, we also provide nutrition through meal programmes, health check-ups, and awareness sessions to help children learn better, grow healthier, and thrive with equity.
Launched as a youth-led initiative to mobilize volunteers to fight hunger at the grassroots. We also partner with local food banks and organisations to extend malnutrition programmes, provide surplus food redistribution, and strengthen community-based food systems. These partnerships help reduce food loss and waste while promoting equitable access to nutrition.
We promote responsible consumption by conducting regular food drives and sustained programmes across the globe with the aim of zero hunger, the community also endeavours to eliminate food wastage.
